Acer palmatum 'Koto-no-ito'

Koto no ito Japanese Maple Meaning "Harp Strings," 'Koto no ito' is aptly named for its incredibly fine, long, straplike green leaves that resemble strings. It creates a wonderfully soft, bamboolike texture in the garden. New growth emerges with reddish tones before turning green. Fall color is a stunning clear yellow to gold, sometimes with orange tints. Grows into an elegant, upright, vase-shaped tree.
