Acer Palmatum 'Mikawa Yatsubusa'

'Mikawa Yatsubusa' is a dwarf Japanese Maple with a unique, very tight and compact growth habit. The tightly layering leaf structure makes this tree especially sought after in the nursery trade. During the spring you can expect an elegant lime green flush of leaves to emerge, settling to a sometimes dark-green foliage by summer. Fall colors can range anywhere from a scarlet red, orange, to a yellow green (depending on several environmental factors). Older specimens of Mikawa can be quite the sight to see, a showstopper for sure!
